10. Special events, private access and non-refundable services
Major events, eclipse periods, private-access visits, special permits, premium cruises, promotional hotel rates, charter services and certain flights may use separate cancellation and payment conditions.
These bookings may require:
- full or higher advance payment;
- earlier final-payment deadlines;
- non-refundable deposits;
- non-changeable names or dates; or
- 100% cancellation charges from the date of confirmation.
11. Refund calculations and processing
Where a refund is due, it is calculated after applying:
- the relevant cancellation percentage;
- non-refundable supplier amounts already committed;
- bank, PayPal, card or transfer costs that cannot be recovered;
- currency-conversion differences outside our control; and
- any disclosed administrative or amendment fee.
Approved refunds are returned through an appropriate payment method after supplier deductions have been confirmed. Processing times depend on the payment provider, bank, card network and supplier response time.
A “free cancellation” period means that Egypt Tours Club does not apply the standard percentage deduction. It does not automatically make a separately disclosed non-refundable flight, permit, hotel or supplier payment refundable.
12. Postponing your tour
If you need to change the travel date, contact us as early as possible. We will try to move the booking to a mutually agreed date, subject to supplier approval, availability and revised prices.
After a postponement is confirmed:
- the new supplier rates and conditions may apply;
- already paid amounts may be transferred only to eligible replacement services;
- additional costs may be payable; and
- the revised booking may become non-refundable if this is required by suppliers or agreed in writing.
13. Booking amendments
You may request additions, removals, upgrades, date changes or itinerary adjustments. We will provide the best available options based on supplier availability and current rates.
- A change is confirmed only after written approval.
- Fare differences and supplier amendment fees may apply.
- A major change may be treated as cancellation of the original booking and creation of a new one.
- Non-refundable tickets, permits and special rates may not be changeable.
14. No-show, late arrival and unused services
No refund is normally provided when a traveller:
- does not arrive at the confirmed time and meeting point;
- misses a flight, train, cruise departure or scheduled transfer;
- arrives too late for a confirmed activity;
- voluntarily leaves the tour early; or
- chooses not to use an included service.
Where possible, our team may help arrange a replacement service. Any additional cost is normally payable by the traveller.
15. Contact for cancellations, changes and refunds
Use an official Egypt Tours Club communication channel and include your booking reference in every request.
16. Cancellation Policy FAQ
How do I cancel an Egypt Tours Club booking?
Send the cancellation request by email to info@egypttoursclub.com and include your booking confirmation number, lead traveller’s name, travel date and the service being cancelled.
When does the cancellation period begin?
The effective cancellation date is normally the date on which Egypt Tours Club receives the written request. The applicable deduction is calculated using the relevant tour category and the confirmed service or departure date.
Can I cancel an overland day tour for free?
Under the standard policy, overland day tours without hotels or domestic flights have free cancellation when the request is received 7 days or more before departure, subject to any separately disclosed non-refundable cost.
What is the cancellation policy for a multi-day Egypt package?
Under the standard package table, cancellations 60–50 days before travel are free, followed by deductions of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% as the departure date approaches. Special supplier conditions may also apply.
Are flight-inclusive tours fully refundable?
Not always. Domestic flight tickets may be subject to airline fare rules and may become non-refundable after issue, even when the general cancellation table shows a free-cancellation period.
Can I postpone instead of cancelling?
Yes, you may request a new date. Postponement is subject to availability, supplier approval, revised prices and written confirmation. The revised booking may become non-refundable.
How long does a refund take?
Timing depends on supplier confirmation, the original payment method, banks, card networks and PayPal. Egypt Tours Club processes an approved refund after the recoverable amount and deductions are confirmed.
What happens if I do not arrive for the tour?
A no-show or late arrival that causes the traveller to miss the confirmed service normally results in a 100% charge and no refund for the unused service.
