A demanding Jordan hiking journey from water-filled wadis to Petra and Wadi Rum

Amman Airport → Amman Hotel

Arrival assistance before immigration, then overnight in Amman.

Wadi Ben Hammad → Kerak Castle → Dana

Drive a little over two hours to Wadi Ben Hammad for an easy 3–4 hour water hike, continue to Kerak Castle and overnight in Dana.

Dana → Wadi Hamra Hike → Wild Camping

Hike through Jabal Barra into Wadi Hamra and on to Hammam Adethni. The supplied itinerary grades this day difficult, 18 km, with no fear of heights required.

Wadi Ghuweir Hike → Petra

Follow the water stream through Wadi Ghuweir between high gorge walls and hanging gardens, then transfer from Mansoura to Petra for the overnight stay.

Petra Back Route → Monastery El Deir

Walk from Little Petra past Beidah and open farmland to the Monastery El Deir, then descend around 800 stairs to Petra’s lower areas.

Petra High Place & Wadi Farasa → Wadi Rum

Take a six-hour hike via the Treasury viewpoint, High Place of Sacrifice and Wadi Farasa, then drive about 1.5 hours to the Wadi Rum camp.

Jabal Um Adami Hike → Wadi Rum Camp

Travel by 4x4 to Jabal Um Adami and hike with a Bedouin guide to Jordan’s highest mountain at 1,854 metres, then cross Wadi Sabet back to camp.

Wadi Rum 3-Hour Jeep Ride → Amman

Explore canyons, red sand dunes, Nabataean inscriptions and a natural rock bridge by 4x4, then drive around four hours to Amman.

Amman Hotel → Amman Airport

At the pre-arranged time, transfer about 50 minutes from your Amman hotel to Amman Airport.
