This guide brings the most useful answers together in one place. It covers the main travel categories available through Egypt Tours Club and links directly to the pages travellers commonly need while comparing options.
Planning Your Egypt Trip
What is the best time to visit Egypt?
October to April is generally the most comfortable period for cultural sightseeing because temperatures are milder. Summer can still work well for travellers who prefer fewer crowds, early-morning visits and carefully planned transport. Red Sea destinations are popular throughout much of the year.
How many days do I need for a first trip to Egypt?
A first visit usually works best with 7 to 10 days. This allows time for Cairo and Giza, Luxor, Aswan and, in many itineraries, a Nile cruise. Travellers with 12 to 15 days can add Alexandria, Abu Simbel, the Red Sea or a desert extension.
Which destinations should first-time visitors include?
A balanced first journey normally includes Cairo and Giza for the Pyramids, Sphinx and museums; Luxor for Karnak, the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple; and Aswan for Philae Temple, Nubian culture and access to Abu Simbel. A Nile cruise can connect Luxor and Aswan.
Is Egypt suitable for families, couples, solo travellers and groups?
Yes. Egypt Tours Club offers private, family-friendly, small-group, honeymoon, solo-traveller and special-interest itineraries. The route, hotel level, daily pace and transport can be adapted to the travellers.
Can Egypt Tours Club create a tailor-made itinerary?
Yes. A tailor-made Egypt tour can be planned around your dates, number of travellers, preferred hotels, budget, interests, mobility needs, travel pace and must-see destinations.
What information should I send to receive a useful quotation?
Send your arrival and departure dates, number of adults and children, preferred hotel level, room arrangement, destinations, interests, desired tour style and any flights already booked. Mention dietary, mobility or special-access requirements at the beginning.
Egypt Tour Packages
What is normally included in an Egypt tour package?
Inclusions depend on the selected itinerary. Packages may include hotels, airport assistance, private transfers, domestic transport, Nile cruises, licensed Egyptologist guides, entrance tickets and selected meals. Always review the individual package page and written confirmation.
What types of Egypt tour packages are available?
The main collections include classic Egypt tours, Nile cruise packages, luxury tours, family holidays, budget tours, short breaks, adventure programs, group tours, Christmas holidays and special-event itineraries.
How do I choose between a private tour and a group tour?
Choose a private tour for flexible timing, personal guiding and an itinerary adapted to your pace. Choose a group tour for a shared experience and a lower per-person price on selected scheduled departures.
Can I combine Cairo, a Nile cruise and the Red Sea in one package?
Yes. Many multi-day itineraries combine Cairo and Giza with Luxor, Aswan or a Nile cruise, followed by a Red Sea stay in Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh or Marsa Alam.
Are domestic flights included in every package?
No. Some packages include domestic flights, while others use trains or private road transport. The included transport is stated on the package page and in the booking confirmation.
Can I select the hotel category?
Yes, subject to availability. Egypt Tours Club can plan packages using budget, standard, superior or luxury accommodation and can recommend options according to your priorities.
Egypt Day Tours
What is an Egypt day tour?
A day tour is a single-day private or shared experience that normally begins and ends at your hotel, port, airport or another confirmed meeting point. It may include transport, a guide, entrance tickets and meals depending on the tour.
Are Egypt Tours Club day tours private?
Many day tours can be booked privately with a dedicated vehicle and guide. Some products may also offer shared departures. The tour page identifies the available format.
Which cities offer day tours?
Day tours are available from major destinations including Cairo, Giza, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Marsa Alam and selected Egyptian ports.
Can I book a Cairo day trip from Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada?
Yes. Cairo trips may be arranged by domestic flight or road depending on the departure city, schedule and selected product. Flight-inclusive tours require earlier confirmation and have stricter cancellation conditions.
Can I visit Luxor from Hurghada in one day?
Yes. A private Luxor day tour from Hurghada can include major West Bank and East Bank highlights such as the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Karnak Temple, subject to the confirmed itinerary.
Are entrance fees included in day tours?
Inclusions vary by product. Standard entrance tickets may be included in some tours, while optional tombs, entry inside pyramids, special permits and premium-access visits may cost extra. Check the individual tour page.
Nile Cruises
How many nights is a typical Nile cruise?
Common itineraries are 3 nights from Aswan to Luxor and 4 nights from Luxor to Aswan. Longer cruise and cruise-plus-Cairo packages are also available.
What sites are normally visited during a Nile cruise?
Typical guided sightseeing may include Philae Temple, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple. Exact visits depend on the cruise direction and schedule.
Are Nile cruise sightseeing tours guided?
Yes, when included in the package, sightseeing is normally accompanied by a licensed Egyptologist guide. The exact guiding arrangement appears in the cruise itinerary.
Can a Nile cruise be added to a tailor-made Egypt tour?
Yes. A cruise can be combined with Cairo, Alexandria, Abu Simbel, the Red Sea, desert destinations or other private travel services.

What are the top cities to visit in Egypt?
Popular choices include Cairo and Giza for ancient and Islamic landmarks, Luxor for temples and royal tombs, Aswan for Nile scenery and Nubian culture, Alexandria for Mediterranean heritage, and Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam for the Red Sea.
What are the most important attractions in Cairo and Giza?

Is Abu Simbel worth adding to an Egypt itinerary?
Yes. Abu Simbel is one of Egypt’s most impressive ancient sites and can be visited by road or domestic flight from Aswan. It requires additional travel time, so it should be planned carefully.
Where can I find beach, diving and snorkelling experiences?
Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam offer beaches, coral reefs, snorkelling, diving, boat trips and desert activities. The best destination depends on your route and preferred resort style.
Can Egypt Tours Club arrange special-access or private visits?
Selected private-access visits and special-permission services may be arranged where officially available. They require advance planning, approval, specific time slots and separate payment conditions.
Booking, Payments and Documents
How do I confirm a booking?
A booking is confirmed after you accept the written proposal, provide the required traveller details, make the requested deposit or payment and receive written confirmation from Egypt Tours Club.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Depending on the booking, available methods may include Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, bank transfer and approved cash payments in EGP, USD or EUR.
How much deposit is required?
The deposit depends on the service. Some overland day tours may not require a deposit, while flight-inclusive tours, packages, cruises, hotels, permits and special events normally require advance payment. The exact amount appears in your quotation.
Can I pay for a package in instalments?
Eligible advance bookings may use a deposit-plus-balance arrangement, partial payments or an agreed instalment plan. When a four-payment plan is approved, the full amount must be paid by the deadline stated in the confirmation.
Who is responsible for passports and visas?
Each traveller is responsible for holding a valid passport, visa and any other required entry or transit documents. Requirements vary by nationality and can change, so travellers should verify them with official authorities.
Is travel insurance required?
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be required for selected programs. It should cover cancellation, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, baggage, delays and planned activities.
Changes, Cancellations and Refunds
Can I change my travel dates or itinerary after booking?
You may request a change, but it is subject to availability, supplier approval, revised prices and amendment fees. A major change may be treated as cancellation of the original booking and creation of a new one.
How do I cancel my booking?
Send a written cancellation request to info@egypttoursclub.com with the booking reference, lead traveller’s name, travel date and service being cancelled. The effective cancellation date is normally the date the written request is received.
What is the cancellation policy for overland day tours?
Under the current standard policy, cancellation is free 7 days or more before departure, subject to disclosed non-refundable costs. The deduction is 25% at 6–5 days, 50% at 4–3 days and 100% at 2–1 day.
Do packages and flight-inclusive tours have different cancellation rules?
Yes. Packages, domestic flights, cruises, hotels, peak-season bookings, private access and special events use longer or stricter cancellation timelines because supplier costs may become non-refundable earlier.
Can I postpone instead of cancelling?
A postponement may be possible if suppliers approve the new date. New rates, availability and conditions will apply, and the revised booking may become non-refundable.
How are refunds processed?
An approved refund is calculated after the applicable cancellation deduction, non-refundable supplier costs and unrecoverable transaction charges. Processing time depends on suppliers, banks, card networks and the original payment method.
Safety, Guides and Travel Experience
Is it safe to travel in Egypt?
Millions of visitors travel to Egypt, but conditions can change. Travellers should follow current official travel advice, local instructions and reasonable safety guidance. Egypt Tours Club provides planned transport and local assistance for confirmed services.
Who will guide the historical tours?
Historical, cultural and archaeological visits are normally led by licensed Egyptologist guides selected according to the language, destination and requirements of the booking.
Will someone meet me at the airport?
Airport meet-and-assist and private transfer services can be included in packages or booked separately. The confirmation states the meeting procedure and emergency contact details.
Can dietary and mobility requirements be accommodated?
Many requirements can be supported when communicated before booking. Availability depends on the destination, vehicle, hotel, cruise, attraction and the nature of the requirement.
What should I wear when visiting Egypt?
Light, breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection and a light layer for evenings are recommended. Modest clothing is appropriate at mosques, churches, villages and conservative areas.
