For most first-time travelers, the strongest Egypt route combines the Giza Pyramids, Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor's temples and tombs, Aswan and Philae, Abu Simbel and a Nile journey. Do not confuse GEM with the Royal Mummies Hall
The Grand Egyptian Museum is now open and its official ticket site lists the Tutankhamun Galleries among the areas included in a standard visit. The Royal Mummies Hall is at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), where the museum states that 20 royal mummies are displayed. If royal mummies are a priority, add NMEC separately rather than expecting them at GEM.
